All Keuka SureGrip® footwear surpasses the new ISO EN20345 slip test to a rating of SRC but we go further than this by publishing the Coefficient of Friction achieved on the Health & Safety Laboratory ramp test, a far more stringent and “real world” test. The following chart shows how our footwear performs on various floor surfaces with various contaminants. This test involves a real person (rather than a machine) who wears the footwear whilst walking on an increasingly inclined ramp contaminated with water and oil until loss of traction causes a slip. The steeper the angle achieved, the higher the coefficient of friction value for the footwear being tested. Keuka SureGrip® can reach angles of 30 degrees in some cases and exceeds virtually all other brands of footwear, especially on quarry tiles and chequer plate, two common floor surfaces found throughout industry.
Report carried out by HSL 2007
| Brand | Steel/Water | Quarry Tile/Glycerol | Chequer Plate/Water | Chequer Plate/Glycerol |
| Suregrip | 0.41 | 0.50 | 0.54 | 0.34 |
Figures represent the Coefficient of Friction. The higher the number the better the grip.
