Keuka SureGrip® sole provides much greater slip resistance than other shoes due to the rubber compound & the intricate tread pattern. It is designed to dispel liquids in the same way as a car tyre in the rain. Slips are usually caused by aquaplaning where loss of traction is caused by a contaminant underfoot. You do not slip on the floor, you slip on what is on the floor so by cutting through this contaminant our shoes grip to the surface underneath. In the picture above, the operator is standing on a polished stainless steel ramp covered with oil & soap polluted water at an angle of 25 degrees without slipping. Conventional shoes would start to slip at a mere 5 degrees & at this angle the operator would virtually ski down the ramp at very high speed, whereas our shoes cut through the oil & water to grip the steel.
